PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

In order to provide the best for our dogs, we are offering you the opportunity to become a foster family for some of our breeding dogs. This allows the dogs participating in this program to have an ideal living environment, in a welcoming and warm family, where they can be loved and live a full life.

Thanks to the foster family program, we are fortunate to maintain a quality breeding with a small number of breeding animals at home. This allows us to remain a small family farm and to have the time to properly take care of our dogs. They deserve it so much!

A foster family consists of accommodating at home and free of charge, a pet for which the property and reproduction rights remain with the breeder until the end of the breeding season. For the female, this period lasts for a maximum of 4 or 5 litters. The latter will then be about 5, 6 years old. For a male, he will be around 8 or 9 years old. Note that no reproduction takes place before the age of 1 and a half, and only if all the tests carried out comply with our high breeding standards.

In addition, at the end of its breeding career, the foster family may keep the dog and the transfer of ownership may then take place so that the animal becomes the exclusive property of the foster family. This transfer of ownership will take place once sterilization has been carried out by the breeder. This program therefore allows you to have as a companion an exceptional animal, of very great value and with a very high standard. In addition, you will keep the animal for its entire life and it will have the right to a normal life in a loved family. Usually, the dog or bitch comes home only for matings or for the birth of the puppies, until they are weaned.

Being a foster family means looking after the animal according to the requirements of the breeder and the needs of the breed in question. The foster family can also use this animal for their personal purposes as a pet. Being a foster family has important privileges such as having the chance to have a high standard dog in your home.

ADVANTAGES:

Being able to welcome into your home an exceptional animal, of very great value and with a very high standard (because you will have as a puppy the first choice of the breeder when choosing the puppies in a litter, therefore the best);

Have access to privileged advice regarding the breed and its training;

Have access to a day care service at the breeder's free of charge, when the female is in heat;

Not having to pay the costs inherent in reproduction (genetic tests such as CERF, AOC, PRA, OFA, as well as, of course, the costs relating to reproduction).

Acquire a high value, high quality Afghan Hound dog at the end of the agreement.

THE OBLIGATIONS OF A FOSTER FAMILY:

Allow the breeder to carry out veterinary examinations at the time desired by the breeder;

Pay for veterinary care not related to reproduction;

Pay for the dog's care and food:

Allow the breeder to present the dog at exhibitions;

Allow the breeder to make reproductions at the time of his choice;

The dog must live in a family environment, that is to say in the house. He must be socialized as best as possible and must therefore not be tied up or locked in a garage for example; follow the animal health and exercise protocol, as agreed with the breeder;

The animal should not leave the area during critical breeding periods.
